So, due to my awesome Europe trip, my trip fund is next to nothing, meaning no trips to the far-flung reaches of the earth, until the fund is built up again. However, the trip also stirred in me the desire to travel, a lot AND soon!
So, a couple of weeks ago, I made the long exotic international journey to…. Point Roberts, WA. I went down to camp with friends, but because I couldn’t get the day off work (they could), I opted to get myself down there by my only mode of personal transportation – scooter!
It’s the longest ride I’ve done so far, and the most I’ve carried as well. But it worked out just fine 🙂
Total time down: 1 hr, including stopping to reroute (google maps didn’t know about a road closure) and crossing the border (10 min)
Total time back: 45 min, including border crossing. Sunshine both ways 🙂
Cost: $4.05 in gas, $15 for the campsite, and some sore butt muscles (but totally worth it for the drive!)
Stay tuned for some more “exotic” adventures within my reduced travel budget….
